MindView 7 AT Edition in one of the most popular pieces of Mind-Mapping software on the market. We thought we’d outline a few key features that make it stand out from the crowd.
Integration with Microsoft Office
MindView has many great features and one in particular is how it integrates with Microsoft Office, both visually and technically. For an untrained eye it could easily be seen as one of the Suites core products.
For people who are familiar with Microsoft Office products, finding customisation options that suit each person are easily found with the simple tool bar buttons.
This intergration isn’t just visual though. With MindView you can easily export your mind-maps to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Project. The ability to import items from these into a mind-map is also available.
Ease of Use
Being able to capture those moments where brilliance strikes is essential for mind-mapping users. MindView has taken this into considering and have created an easy to use mode, called ‘brainstorming mode’. With ‘brainstorming mode’ you can mark down ideas as and when they come to you, then arrange the ideas into a full mind-map with branches, sub-branches, notes and images at a later date. This allows you to organise your thoughts into a full blown mind-map without losing your train of thought.
Some people already know exactly what colours and styles of mind-maps work for them whilst for others, it may be a bit of trial and error. MindView counters this by providing over 80 business and educational templates to start you off. All of which can be tailored with specific colours or images in case you find the perfect template but in the wrong colour!
Task Management
MindView has developed some really good features to make it a project managers best friend. As we mentioned before, it integrates with Microsoft Outlook which allows you to export your task lists from a mind-map straight into Outlook or import your tasklist directly into a mind-map.
They say behind every great project manager is an even greater Gantt chart. Taking that into account, MindView’s Gantt chart experience can take you from that initial brainstorm to exporting your full project plan to Microsoft Project. Alternatively, import from Microsoft Project and take advantage of MindView’s innovative brainstorming features.
Overall we believe MindView 7 AT Edition is a fantastic software that’s full of innovative, intuitive and important features that can improve your working life. It’s a big thumbs up from us!
