IRIS Notes Air 3 – Alternative Product

IRIS recently announced that their popular smartpen, the Notes Air 3 has been discontinued and is no longer available to purchase. The IRIS Notes Air 3s most popular feature was the ability to convert handwritten notes into typed text when connected through a PC.

We have found a very viable alternative for this feature as well as the ability to digitalise your notes from a familiar smartpen manufacturer, Livescribe.

The Livescribe Aegir smartpen will transcribe your handwritten notes to typed text. The Aegir smartpen can be used with iOS, Android, Windows or MAC. It also has some other great features which are detailed below.

  • Store up to 1,200 A4 pages of handwritten notes
  • 10 Hours battery life
  • Add voice to your notes
  • Search your handwritten notes for specific words or phrases
  • Share notes in different formats; PDF, TXT, DOCX & PNG
  • Livescribe+ app connection for instantaneous notes on your device

The Livescribe Aegir is also a more cost-effective product than the IRIS and is available at £89.00 for the smartpen or £112.00 for a bundle including notepads and more.
