Alive & Well in Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone is one of the most impoverished countries in the world. Alive & Well is a charity whose mission is to provide the most basic need – clean drinking water – to remote villages within Sierra Leone.
In this video clip, Managing Director Lawrence Howard interviews some of the local crew from Alive & Well who have drilled new bore holes and installed new water pumps into the village of Massa on behalf of the charity Well Boring.
Prior to this many children had been dying from a range of conditions from diarrhoea to cholera, all caused through not having access to clean drinking water. Since the installation in May 2012, the infant mortality rate already reduced noticeably.
